Operatic and concert baritone Ilya Silchukou will perform with a rare show ”Voice of My Land”. Accompanied by eminent pianist Tatiana Loisha, he will provide a unique opportunity to learn about Belarusian & Eastern-European culture, including its centuries-long classical and folk music history.

“Voice of My Land” features medieval and sacred music of unknown Eastern-European authors of XVII cent. as well as works of prominent composers: Stanislaw Moniuszko, Franz Schubert, and Michal Kleofas Oginski. The program concludes with selected songs by the Belarusian composers and poets of the XX century: Uladzimir Terauski, Symon Rak–Michajlouski, Yanka Kupala, and Maksim Bahdanovich.

Belarus Must Be Free

Margarita Levchuk (soprano) and Ilya Silchukou (baritone) are Belarusian vocalists whose virtuosity and achievements have earned them international recognition in the world of opera. Levchuk and Silchukou are well-known in their home country for amplifying the voices of Belarusians and Ukrainians and resisting Lukashenka's dictatorial regime.

Talented Tatiana Loisha accompanied the vocalists on the piano for an exceptional program of Belarusian classical and folk music, as well as a few Ukrainian compositions.
